Welcome to Coogee Beach Fitness Club

When you become a member of the Coogee Beach Fitness Club, you don’t just join a gym. You join a space for health on the second story of an 11 million dollar development that is situated on one of Perth’s best beaches. The combination of the fitness club, the ocean view and the fact that you become a social members of the Coogee Beach Surf Life Saving Club to utilise their beach bar and social events in addition to the onsite Surfing Lizard café makes it one of Perth’s hidden gems with a focus on a healthy lifestyle.

Our approach to health may be slightly different to what you have encountered before. We utilise modern research, and constantly sift through trends and fads to bring you a balanced and holistic view of health which incorporates nutrition, human physiology, biomechanics and even a rehabilitative premise.

As University Accredited Exercise Physiologists, both Dylan Kvas-Rothwell and Jason Lim hope you can enjoy and appreciate their passion project in developing health as part of a community hub.

Weekly membership prices are based on half of the recurring fortnightly direct debit; paid in advance. Any payment which is direct debit will always include  (via direct debit provider, not us) a one off set up fee of $5.50 and a $1.95 admin fee per fortnight . Additional 1.6% fee for Credit Card Direct debit. Membership prices do not include the $25 access card.

FIFO: If you are signing up as a FIFO member; simple documented proof of your swing/roster is all we need to approve.

STUDENT/CONC: If you are signing up as a student/concession member; simple documented proof is all we need to approve.

MEMBER REFERRALS: Receive a $2 discount off your fortnightly direct debit for every new member refer. There is no limit on the amount of referrals either. 

MEMBERSHIP FREEZES: Membership freezes are available for period of more than 2 weeks and a maximum of 3 months in one year, of course free of charge. 

CANCELLING YOUR MEMBERSHIP: Simply inform us via email or in person that you wish to stop your membership and we will sort it out on the spot. Free of charge with no exit fees.

Our Classes - Be Part of a Team

All our classes have been personally designed in a way that anybody can get the outcome they desire from any class. The spread of classes specifically targets strength, power, agility, functional movement foundations, endurance, accuracy, flexibility, mobility and biomechanical stability so our members can design their own well rounded and personalised approach to health and fitness. The best part is that ALL of our classes are FREE with your membership (other than Yoga which is reduced from $22 per class to $12 for members).

We suggest you test out all of the classes at least once to see what you like and to learn some new movements and techniques. 

HiiT & CORE

High intensity interval training with a focus on body weight movements. Throw in a dose of Core work and you have a perfect combo for fat burning, toning and core stability. This class is perfect to learn the foundations of movement. 

W, K & P

Standing for weights, kettles and plates. This class is a combination of dumbells, kettle bells and other heavy objects all programmed to perfection in one well rounded class. Aimed at improving muscle strength, and muscle tone FAST. 

PILATES

Come and experience our Sunrise and Sunset Pilates classes in one of the most natural spaces imaginable. Focus on all of the important smaller muscles and stabilisers with the sound of the beach. Open to all levels of age, experience and ability. 

COOGEE BEACH BOXING

Join in this high intensity boxing circuit class in the natural surroundings of Coogee Beach. If you are looking for an all round boxing challenge then this class is for you. These incredible classes are always taken outside (weather permitting).

YOGA

Come relax, unwind and limber up with one of the best natural spaces you will experience in Perth. Rarely do you get to enjoy the sounds of the beach and ocean breeze as you join Jane Lewis and her team of Yogi's whilst you ease into a pose. 

LLLS (COTA)

LLLS is an amazing exercise and movement program designed by the Council of the Ageing and caters to over 50's. As a Tier 1 provider we take past injuries and clinical history before any exercise is undertaken. Please contact us for information.

Personal Services - Want Something a Little More Specific ?

Whether it is your first time to the gym that needs an introduction to a healthy lifestyle or a regular gym goer that needs a little more direction and guidance, we offer Personalised Programs suited to your lifestyle demands which will help you reach your goals. If you have more specific goals that cannot be attained through a personalised program or group classes, it sounds like our Personal Coaching option is for you. We offer personalised sessions tailored to your specific needs that will get you to your goals quicker, safely and more efficiently.

During our sessions we can also provide services such as remedial muscular release, trigger point therapy, flexibility and rehabilitation which can be incorporated into your sessions to complement and improve your training. As University Accredited Exercise Physiologists, we are proficient in providing assessments and prescribing exercise programs designed for rehabilitation following injury or surgery; injury prevention; as well as postural related pain and discomfort. If you have any of these issues that you think we can help please do not hesitate to make an inquiry.

Yes we do!

We have a free 3 x access trial pass for either general gym use or classes (excluding Yoga). Come into the gym and introduce yourself to grab one for you and a friend. Don’t forget we also have a no contract, no sign up free and no exit fee agreement so even if you do join, and you are never locked in a contract.

No you do not, memberships are available to all members of the public.

Casual visits are available for $15 per day. Alternatively we also offer 10 pass access cards for use of the gym and classes for $100 (unfortunately Yoga is not involved in this).

Our staffed hours are Monday to Friday from 7am-11am, Monday to Thursday from 3pm-7pm and Saturday 8am-11am. When you become a member, your access times are between the hours of 5am-10pm, 7 days a week and 365 days per year. You have access during these hours even if the gym is not staffed due to your personal access card. 

Your membership includes access to the private changerooms downstairs, social membership benefits to the surf club (join in social events next door in the function room on Friday nights and on any other special events - you can even bring up to five adult friends or family. You also have free access to all THUMP Boxing, HiiT and Core, Weights Kettle and Plates and Pilates classes. 

We do offer family memberships for a minimum of 2 adults and 1 student/minor. Other options are available depending on your situation. Please contact us for prices, terms and conditions apply. 

We have many different classes, as well as seasonal classes and additional options popping up during different times of year. Please visit our CLASSES tab for more information. 

Yes we do, bring in a copy of your swing or a letter from your supervisors stating your roster and we will accomodate your situation. Don't have a set swing? Call us anyway to organise alternative options.
